Yesterday, the Purchase Fire Department operated at a 3rd Alarm Structure Fire in the Village of Tarrytown. Initially requested to relocate into the village to provide standby coverage, Purchase units were later moved up to the scene to assist with firefighting operations.
Car 2412 and Engine 241 responded. Upon arrival, Engine 241 was assigned to water supply operations, relaying water from Benedict Avenue to the fire scene alongside the Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department.
Purchase units remained on scene until released by Tarrytown Command.
